FA Coaching Badges

If you're looking to get involved with a local childrens team, go down and show them you are serious about getting on board they may pay for your Level 1 and First Aid/Safeguarding Children/CRB.

I can say from first hand knowledge that more coaches are handy to have and are few and far between so they should welcome you with open arms.
Thanks for that, i'll look into it. My biggest concern would be taking the badges and then not finding a team to get involved with

Try the FA's website. Should be loads of info on there.

Ha Ha! Nice one mate, like it.

You'd think that'd be a good place to start don't you?

I'm a groundsman, and this time of year, groundsmen everywhere are trying to mark out the pitches. First thing to do is check the dimensions, so you think the best place to go would be the FA website, try there, just make sure the max/min lengths of pitchs hasn't changed, any run off areas and stuff like that.

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thefa.com/GetIntoFootball/Facilities/Goalpost_and_Pitch_Sizes" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thefa.com/GetIntoFootball/Fa ... itch_Sizes</a>

It's been updated for a few months now. I emailed the FA and said that really, this should be up there now as it's the only time when groundsmen need that information. They sent me a spreadsheet with over 100 different measurements and dimesions on it, which I still can't figure out.

In conclusion, try somewhere other than the FA website!
