I'm sure you would.
So elaborate then.
I'm sure you would.
Come on mate, you can’t really believe that Southgate did the best with what he had available? Granted, back 4 is what it is and picks itself. But once you decide that you’re going with 2 defensive midfielders who are scared of going forward it restricts the whole pattern of play and leads to a cautious, uninventive approach which gets you exactly where it got us.And yet one sub won a penalty and another was inches away with his freekick.
I'd love to see what tactics you have up your sleeve that he could have tried with the players at his disposal.
He only has sex in the missionary position
That shows in his football
Sorry but I do not accept that we don't have a potentially better replacement than a player who couldn't even get into a struggling united side. He's a centre back, it isn't his job to create. Bobby Moore used to punt it up field.
He's an excellent carrier of the ball out from defence and only John Stones is better than him as far as English defenders go. But you can only do it if there is space to go into.
He packs pace and has a poor turning circle and has been caught out stepping in to midfield in the past.
It was the right call to go with him this tournament because no one stepped up in an England shirt to take his place. Coady and Dier are both troubled by same lack of pace.
Quicker partners for Stones like Tomori and Guehi should get an opportunity to stake their claim now.
Could have changed things much earlier, and for me a panicky defence was screaming out for somebody like Grealish to go and have a run at them.

I'm not a football manager, and neither are you. Southgate is... and a poor one at that. As one poster said, when it's shit or bust and you're on the way out what have you got to lose, just go for it. #jimmyglassSo elaborate then.

Excellent carrier of the ball out? All he did first half was pass it sideways, he looked like a player who was trying to use time up for a team that was winning 1-0.

He didn't and we are out... again. His management CV is poor, his playing career is unremarkable and he is a serial loser.
If you think he should be managing our national team, I'm very happy for you. I don't.

Might as well just do away with it then and have premier league v Italian league v Spanish league v German league etc.Nonsense.
Where did I say anything about Mount coming on? If Foden was tired, it was probably a consequence to the tactic of spraying long balls for him to chase. However, are you suggesting Shaw and Maguire weren’t tired? If you honestly think we’re more likely to equalise (that we had to do) with Shaw and Maguire on the pitch than Saka and Foden, you’re a clown in my humble opinion. They were both tired and Saka was carrying a knock. They were becoming less effective before he took them off.
Mount won a penalty off the bench.
The only issue with the subs is that they came too late.
Why would you take off your left back when you haven't got anyone to play in that position and defend against a fast winger?
Or the biggest aerial threat at set pieces.
Only bitters think like that.

As for Maguire being an aerial threat…he’s a bigger threat to England than France.
As for the Bertie comment, id suggest you fuck off. Rag twat.
Just been looking back at our results over the last couple of decades. As far as I can tell we have never won a game, group or knockout, against a team ranked higher than us at the time.
Anyone got a comment on that? I could well be wrong.
He’s actually shit at carrying the ball. He would dribble well but he’s taking the ball into his own players space. It’s pointless, a pass would have been quicker & now you’ve got 2 players next to each other. He’s not the only one but it frustrates the fuck out of me but it was better than his wild hoofs to Fodens head.
