It's a funny one this hatred of Southgate. I think he's shite but don't really care either way as I don't support England. But it seems England fans would rather play nice footy and not win rather than get to the final playing shite? Reminds me of united haha. Or is it the classic English thing of complaining no matter what? Like in the 1 week of summer we get when everyone says it's too hot lol
 
If England win, I think giving him the job for 2026 is OK. I'd prefer we had someone new because I think the players are basically dragging him through tournaments, but i could understand why he keeps the job.

There's no way he should keep his job if England lose the final. All it does is cement the fact he can't beat a good side. It won't be a one-off. You can handle losing to a top team on the day, but it's an obvious pattern that Southgate just can't get past one and you can't win a tournament without doing so.

Its a general football fan thing I would say, you go to watch the game played entertainingly and with passion and flair, trophies are an aded extra not a necessity.

I can take a city loss if we give it our all and try to play football, if we every played hoofball and park the bus shite a trophy win would be great still more dour than doing it as we have.

Yes,most England fans would rather see us playing decent football, if we didn't win we'd accept it. Watching this clown is soul destroying.
Who goes to a major tournament with only one left back who hasn't played since February ?
He is so clueless he cannot change his tactics during a game.
He cannot see his team selection is not working.
The media pick the side not him.
I could go on but I'll leave it there.

Totally agree, what I dislike, is the shite England have been playing but scrawping through. Southgate is a charlatan, Ten Hagish in fact.

Fans would like to see England win but not at the expense of entertainment or style. This squad is capable of winning with style and that’s why it’s so disappointing.
Which would you rather watch, Arsenal’s boring unbeatables or Pep’s Centurions?

It's a classic case of some miserable pricks not wanting any players that don't represent City doing well and receiving just plaudits. I hope we win on Sunday, and I could care less who gets the job done for us. They're all representing England.
 
There's two trains of thought

There's the 'win at all cost' fans who don't give a shit about the style of play.

Then there's the ones that want to see a good game of football, attacking, goals etc.

Watching City we see alot of the first group park the bus, not worried about entertaining their travelling fans. That's England.
Perhaps after watching season after season of these anti football games it's harder for City fans to than support the nation team that is anti football.

Also we are use to the hatred from the press/media towards all things City. We can all see that Phil is by far abetter player than bellend. Yet it's Phil that's pushed out of position. Bellend is one lazy footballer and the press/media love him. I've seen the French press/media have been honest about bellend and calling him out for his shit performances.

Will southgate change to an attacking way of playing ? I doubt it, second half against Holland he went back to park the bus. In this tournament England have only played 45 minutes of attacking football.

Now the powers that be and the English fans are happy about this because England might win a final. Southgate and Kane will be knighted, bellend will get an OBE.

I will give credit to Mainoo who doesn't behave like a rag player he just quietly is going about his role not seeking the limelight like bellend
 
Ushited didn't have the balls to get rid of Ten Hag, in turn blocking Southgate from the job.
So he now stays at England till the day the rags have enough of all things dutch

I don't think you can say Foden is a better player than Bellingham. They are totally different types of player.

We need both on top form tomorrow but no way should Bellingham be played out of position to accommodate Foden - Bellingham has a better track record for England than Foden and it is up to Foden to be flexible and try and fit in - he has the talent to do it.

I get a sneaky feeling Foden will be the match winner tomorrow - Spain will try and double up on Saka as they know if they don't Cucurella is toast and that will give Foden space to create mayhem.

Wouldn't be surprised if Saka is dropped for Palmer since Saka's overall play has been pretty poor throughout.

I think you can. Foden works hard. Bellingham works hard for himself.

Foden receives the ball and thinks what is the best pass for the team. Bellingham spends the first split second thinking if he can do something amazing. Then he has to make up for that lost moment.

We need both on top form for the team tomorrow. Foden just do what he HAS been doing. Bellingham to play for the team and not himself. Pass the pass, stop moaning, mark his bloody man on corners!

Track record is only measured in goals? Think you need to see football more in depth.
Foden could have a worldy. The headlines will make Bellingham the star. (Only in this country though).
