If any southern blues are looking at booking virgin trains using their discount, I'd get on it as prices are going up quickly, and there didn't seem to be many discounts left.
I would only have been 13 at that time, but I do remember lots of City fans away at Bolton,Rotherham, Huddersfield and Preston that season.Slightly off topic, but I’ve always been fascinated by that 64-65 campaign as despite the well-documented poor home attendances, our away following appears disproportionately high.
For example, Huddersfield Town recorded their highest attendance of the season against City, just a few weeks after the notorious 8,000 v Swindon at Maine Road.
It was a similar situation at the Baseball Ground, where aside from their home fixtures against the Top Two (Coventry and Northampton), the crowd against City was considerably higher than nearly all the other games.
Even at Rotherham, the crowd for the 0-0 was one of their biggest, and only a thousand less than the promotion game the following season.
Was that how if felt at the time, or did you sense that you were the only City fan inside Millmoor?
With where they are in the Championship table, I can't see them really giving this a go. Hopefully we'll see Brahim, Foden, Zinchenko, Muric all given starts. Would actually really like to see Sandler get some minutes if he's ready by then, but I trust Pep regardless.
Looks so. From Rotherham website:About to book my train tickets. Are we 100% this is 2pm on Sunday?
