Very poor planning. Draw should have been put back to the middle of the following week when there’s a couple of days without any WC action. That would still leave more than four weeks until the third round is scheduled to be played.
FA is too set in its ways. No need to have the draw on the Monday immediately following the second round this year due to the exceptional circumstances.

The draw is on a rival channel so no motivation to move it from its contracted spot.

Most will watch concurrently if interested in both.

I’d have thought the FA (and its commercial partners) would be motivated to have the draw when there’s no other football content in order to maximise publicity and exposure for the competition.
But I’ve no idea how much say it has in exactly when the draws take place and how inflexible or otherwise the TV contracts are.
