FA Cup - 3rd Round Draw - Exeter H - (KO TBC)

They owe me.

I was on a Tyro team football tour of Devon in '76 and we had the chance to watch either Torquay v Cambridge, or Exeter against Scunthorpe.

We chose the 0-0 at Torquay, missing a 5-4 thriller at St James's Park. I've never forgiven them.

9-0 and I'll call it quits...

The largest force in South West footy Plymouth Arvgyles green army will be 100% behind City, their hatred of Exeter is legendary.
Just posted this a few minutes ago I hate them with a passion. I travel up from Plymouth for city games hope we smash the hell out of them. Only thing is these inbreeds will be on the same train as me and the wife from Devon.they are already taking the piss out of argyle fans saying who did they get forgeting they played us after beating Liverpool. I must say the townley was great with city and the green army i even met my mates from Plymouth in there and it was really great speaking about Morrison who played in the same school team as me at southway comprehensive ( thought I get that in )and silkman

Green and white shite…..

Their manager seems decent also.
It's Gary Caldwell, who was on the bench for Wigan in the 2013 FA Cup Final. I think he played in the game the following season when they beat us. He was the club captain so lifted the cup with the playing captain. Needs reminding what's what!

And there was me thinking thank feck we didn’t draw Wigan.

I hope its a Saturday 3pm. 10er adults and 5er for kids would be great. Good piss up in the day and a few after, just like the good old days. Even at them prices the normal gate receipts alone should be well over half a million, but when you take into consideration the corporate(not 100% sure this goes into tye pot) then thats a handsome payout for a struggling club. If it gets chosen for the tele then its jackpot time for The Grecians. We can rest a good few of the first team and we might get to see a few kids like we saw last year against the Rags vanity project.

he is despised in Chesterfield as well. Was a shocking manager for them

We normally get decent crowds for the FA cup weekend games against lower opposition. Remember Port Vale nearly being a sell out, so hopefully if they price it right we can get near the 50k mark
Agree mate. Sensible pricing really helps. It's a bit of a cliche but I find the 3rd round FA Cup weekend one of the best in the football calendar.

I've lived in the SW now for a number of years and, while rugby is the first sport, those who do follow football are mostly United fans.
When I used to watch derby matches in a local pub, I would often be the only City supporter, surrounded by the other lot. I watched the 6-1 there, but was unable to celebrate much, they were an angry mob.
Even my barber is a rag fan. While cutting my hair he was rambling on about the 115. I told him I was pleased to know someone who knew all about the charge and would really like him to explain it to me. He never did.
Not strictly true - the Rugby thing is a pretty recent (financially doped) phenomenon - and was on the verge of collapse a year or two ago. There's always been a solid, hardcore Exeter City fan base which has only grown with the recent successes.
