If he was, I am not sure there was actually a frame that could conclusively show it either way, so VAR just decided to go with the lineman’s flag…

So why didn’t the linesman flag Salah for offside in the build up for Liverpool’s equaliser?

From what I remember the corner taker coming back into play can be a bit of a blind spot for referees and VAR. A big one was missed in Italy this season, this time they've spotted it but we've no idea if they're right or not.

You right about Salah's too, they seem make up how far back they can go through a phase of play to rule out or allow a goal.
 
The corner kick taker did look off to be fair, just who the last touch was off

They couldn’t check that because there didn’t seem to be a frame where the corner taker was visible when the ball was played to them (whoever touched it).

So VAR went with the linesman’s flag, whilst the linesman didn’t flag for Salah’s offside for Liverpool’s equaliser, which could have stopped the Wolves defender from even touching the ball.

It’s bent.
