just shows how awful most of the commentary, esp on BBC is when you watch the Wrexham game on SC4 with Welsh commentary and its more enjoyable than listening to the likes of Dublin, Women commentators etc on othet channels. Amazon do it the best with the option of crowd noise only

To be honest, don’t think it has anything do with the gender of the commentators. There is some cracking commentary from women on various channels and platforms.

The problem is the BBC tend to select the densest former players that are currently available for their commentators and pundits, which means more often than not woefully bad commentary and “analysis”, full stop.
