so the question is posed - were this the sanitised VAR version of football Wednesday would be one nil up - or do we prefer the VAR version? This match lays that in sharp relief

I prefer officials to get it right - and both of those were fairly obvious. I fear that VAR means that linesmen are being de-skilled.
