Lesser of two evils…..Leeds are cunts though
I wonder what sort of welcome they got down in the valleys? I remember City going there in the cup at the height of the "Forward with Franny" fiasco. By all accounts, it was a hairy afternoon.
Not to mention swathes of empty seats.
I never get the fuss when someone does that. It’s a pen and a sending off. So long as you score the pen then it’s better than if he just let it in. So you have the chance of double punishment. I hate Suarez but the stuff in the World Cup was way over the top. Like said above, diving, play acting, time wasting etc much worse.I don't mind shit-housing like that to be honest.
The lad knew the price he'd have to pay, took the risk and it paid off.
Miles better than shit like time-wasting where the crime never gets punished.
It was only Villa tbf ;)Well played, Stevenage.
Slightly different rule but read through this Dale Johnson Twitter thread, this has been going on for a while now, several examples going back 5 years ago.
However, he does say, like most us think it’s not in the spirit of the game.
Rodri, came from behind Mings v Villa but Mings had control of the ball, how far would he be able to run before Rodri could make a legitimate challenge? I didn’t see anything wrong with that but the outcry because it was City lead to a change in the rules. This latest incident should definitely show what a poor rule this is and amend it.
The Rodri rule change had nothing to do with the interpretation of the Salah goal offside, seriously, it’s been a misnomer for several years now.As a city fan the villa/rodri incident should never be a goal. It’s embarrassing for the game (taking city out of it). As is the Salah goal. I played football at a semi decent level. I cant believe anyone who did similar thinks either incident should be a goal
They also apprently changed the interpretation after the city/villa controversy. Not that youd know that after the Salah goal
Chaos. If that gate was opened fully at the full time whistle, there would have been fatalities that day…..I wonder what sort of welcome they got down in the valleys? I remember City going there in the cup at the height of the "Forward with Franny" fiasco. By all accounts, it was a hairy afternoon.
