FA Cup 4/5/6/7 Jan

I've just watched it on the BBC website and the guy who was fouled may well have been just offside too. Need to see a better angle.

The crazy thing is they booked the Barnsley player for the foul and then let a Burnley player put the ball on the penalty spot. All the other players are on the edge of the box ready for the penalty. The official then changes it to offside after a review and the yellow card is now wiped clean. Farcial, the ref should keep hold of the ball until a decsision is made, and also not book the defender unless it was ruled as a penalty.

Just seen the Burnley VAR decision, comical. They over ruled the penalty decision with the player waiting to run up to take the penalty. The Burnley player in the incident wasn`t involved in play and shouldn`t have been ruled offside.
Difficult to see how VAR will improve things in this country, if the idiots who make the decisions out on the pitch are the same ones employed to do the VAR revues. We need neutral foreign referees for this new bit of technology.

I agree with that. All they need to do is say they are checking offside and all that confusion would disappear.

Salah brushes a defender in the penalty area and goes down as if shot by a sniper in the stands, ref awards a penalty to the scouser's.

The VAR revue system kicks in and after a minute or two the referee says the penalty stands and shows a red card to the defender.

You know it makes sense!

That's your agenda written already. It's not even come in yet.

I thought you didn't want to discuss it.

I have been discussing it on here, for years, & I am telling everyone who thinks it will miracously stop rags & scousers getting reffing advantages they are living in fucking cloud cuckoo land.

It is all still about 'interpretation'.

We have just seen a clear example.

And that is your interpretation; not fact.

over £400million spent you would hope you had enough to beat reading but needing a helping hand by VAR ?????
