FA Cup 4/5/6/7 Jan

How do you explain Salah's blatant dive against Newcastle, which the FA looked at and decided was not worthy of retrospective action, on the basis that they claimed he didn't dive?

Only a corrupt, biased, incompetent organisation would do that, so I'm not holding my breath that things will even out where VAR is concerned.

Referee didn't see it as a dive. FA looked at it and said as there's was contact, it couldn't be proven a 100% dive, therefore no ban.

Under VAR, it would transpire as Ref gives pen, VAR either agrees or suggests he look at it again, pendent on the viewpoint of the VAR ref given more time and replays.

The grey area surrounding diving is when is it a dive and when has a player "gone down easily but has been impeded". That is subjective.
