Arteta will play a strong team as warm up for the league games. It’ll be a real battle. Odegaard , partey, xhaka, martinelli and Saka will go toe to toe with us. They are in fantastic form and I feel their movement and speed will be too much for us. They’ll pick us off. Odegaard is a fabulous player and arguably one of the best midfielders in europe right now.
He is excellent on the ball, stays really calm

Very glad we've got this. People talking rather easily on here about “Oh we've got two games against them, we'll catch up six points there.”
This will show us where the two teams are in relation to each other. They'll both go at it hammer and tongs. It's a marker and then some.

You’ve got all South Stand levels 2 and 3, just don’t throw any canapés at us poor souls below in level 1.

I can definitely recommend the smoked salmon and ricotta cheese roulade with some black pepper and a hint of lemon juice. By the way, it’s not something we put curry sauce on…come to that, we don’t put that on anything apart from curry.

Can’t see Arsenal showing their hand for this game. If I were them I would absolutely fully focus on the league now. I think it will be 7/8 changes for them and hopefully a stronger side for us. I can see us winning this one.
Is there any point beating Arsenal now the rags have Howard Webb back in midfield?

Looking forward to this. Should be a good, open tie and both teams will go for it. Obviously it'll be a difficult given their form, but it gives us a chance to land a psychological blow and dent their confidence a bit.

Think this is the first home fixture on a Friday night that I can recall since Birmingham in 1999/2000 promotion season?

I thought that too about the Friday night thing so I dug a little deeper into it. The Real Madrid CL round of 16 second leg that was postponed for months due to the pandemic was eventually played on a Friday night in August 2020 but it was of course behind closed doors and during the lockdowns, every day felt the same anyway!
I’m almost certain that next week will be the first Friday night home game in front of fans since 2000.

Thinking about it, not sure I can recall any away games on a Friday either since then?

As well as that West Ham game, our third round FA Cup tie at Swindon last season was on a Friday night.
