FA Cup 4th Round Draw | Tottenham (A) | Fri 26th Jan, 20:00

You were doing so well until you said the last ten games weren’t enjoyable until we had won.

I’ve never felt more alive following this club than the final straight of that season. It was an incredible period.
The tension was there every game and almost everyone in the crowd was the same.

Burnley away, just about scored, bring on an extra centre back and panic losing the ability to keep the ball. It was getting to the manager and the players. Trounce united away and then almost shit the bed at Burnley and Leicester wasn't a thrilling game either.

I think Pep would prefer Friday or Satuurday.
But we haven't got close to a point at their new gaff yet so I'm not holding up much hope.
Still at least it's reasonably close to Euston.

Clearly I got a great deal more out of the experience than you.

Always prefer playing a premiere league team as everything is less risk.
Team is always more loaded with first choice players and the tackling is less physical so injuries are less likely.
Would have preferred a home tie but think we will be stronger than them and if we're going to go for a treble ( how time's have changed - just getting to the 5th round was successful not so long ago) then this is a good marker of intent.

Unrelenting tension followed by relief and euphoria is surely the absolute pinnacle of being a football fan.

I still get nightmares about the burnley free kick in the last minute of that game

Think BBC get the time of the round judging by Arsenal Liverpool so probably 16.30 Sunday
BBC had first pick in third round. ITV has it for fourth round.
Think there’s a decent chance we’ll be on Friday night. Both Spurs and ourselves have winter break after next weekend so can’t complain about a short turnaround plus wouldn’t say no to extra preparation time before the PL games the following midweek.

I’ve still not recovered from that run-in. Burnley was fucking murder. Jesus missed great opp to go 2-0 up. Serge’s goal squeaked in. Then playing with seventy three centre-halves. Remember we got a free-kick towards the end and nobody knew who to pass to as we had that many fucking defenders on the pitch. So we just chipped it out of play!

Palace away was another in that run. Liverpool just never seemed to draw / lose. Cardiff away, Newcastle away, Chelsea at home are games I seem to recall watching immediately after we’d played.

Funnily enough though I was totally becalmed prior and during the Brighton game (the 643 pints of San Miguel en route might have helped).

Friday night tube strike then.

:)

Ieanaccho missing that sitter against Leicester still lives with me from that run. Scousers would have won it if he’s hit the target.
Wasn’t it Maddison who did us on the left? Passed it to Kelechi and he was square on edge of the box. What a chance!

Selfishly I just need this not to be on Saturday night as I'll be on a flight, need it to not go to a replay as well as the Brentford game gets moved when I'm flying
