That shouldn’t be the question, though. It is whether the handball allowed the player to retain possession and if it would be called if the referee had seen it. On both counts it is a foul in the build up (that goal does not happen without the handball, as the ball was going behind Keita without it). It was more of a foul in the build up than Haaland’s on Fabinho when Foden’s goal against Liverpool was chalked off.No. The Laws state that if it hits his hand, he’d have to be the one who set up the goal scoring shot off his arm for it to be disallowed for handball.
