Burnley looking a little like us right now: gaining control but not doing much once they get around Ipswich’s box.

And before anyone else posts it, yes, that’s what she said.

Rooney is back for Fleetwood today, a lot of our fans would like us to sign him which I would be happy with.
Having watched the first half, I’ve got to ask ‘why’? He was just about the worst player on the pitch and is a huge whiner.
He caught his studs in the turf and went over on his ankle, mouthed off at the fourth official, got made a mug of on the edge of the area and almost gave away a penalty, got booked for moaning at the ref. He did run around a lot though.
The commentator said that he got sent off in the corresponding league fixture and I don’t see him lasting 90 mins in this one.

I have never understood the use of a yellow card as the way to warn a player that they only have 2-3 more fouls before a referee might give them a second yellow. It’s become farcical, especially when you consider some players have to accumulate 6-7 fouls before they are booked in the first place (does not apply to our players, who regularly get booked for their first or second foul). Some, like Malacia, Milner, and Tomiyasu don’t even get carded for the 6-7 fouls.
