The more I watched but more I'd love for us to go for Mitoma, class technically, makes all the right decision and he's already used to playing in a possession-based side.
Was thinking exactly the same thing... Next generation starts now.

I understand the sentiment but it’s less the tech and more the officials. They’d be able to carry as they are without it but there’d no ‘chance’ at all to at least get wrong decisions overturned or monumental moments reviewed.
Monumental moments reviewed eh? Like when Macallister was clean through on goal and was chopped in the back of the head by the last defender. Obvious straight red card and free kick to Brighton. But the referee decides otherwise. VAR says nothing. Because it can't advise on such monumental decisions because because...there is no good reason really.

Gotta say, my heart goes out to var, they did absolutely all they could in that game short of putting the ball in the goal for their team.

They will be gutted....................lol.

As for brighton, they look a good team atm, that game looked like it was being taken off them but they kept going and prevailed despite the obvious bias against them.
