Pitch is a mess they would be better off playing at our place if allowed and get half the gate money. That will set them up financially for a while

Jeez that looks a grim pitch but fair play to Newport it’s an incredible achievement and for their fans it must be pretty special to have city coming to play them. Genuinely wouldn’t want any of our key players anywhere near that pitch.

Nah! It depends on the trophy. FA and League cups are complimentary trophies for big clubs. City is a big club, so No, winning the 2 cups will not be a successful season.

It will be ok. But the league and Champions League are the standard. Everything else is nice.

Don't agree at all . A cup is a cup. Liverpool have won nothing at all for a decade . Rather squashes your theory. How would they have loved half a dozen of those " complimentary " cups through the decade.
No arrogance at city too long winning nothing.

It’s an issue. We suffer on bad pitches and it’s been noticeable how we can’t penetrate well at places like Newcastle, Spurs and Huddersfield. Clubs have got wise to it and are doing it on purpose, so I expect Newport to be letting cows on it and the likes just before.

Don’t get me wrong, our reserves should still beat them easily but we can’t be too complacent.

another option for this game would be a repeat of the TNS game and have it moved to the millenium stadium, but I reckon as Spurs played their game at Newport then they are not interested in a money grab and it will be played on their lovely pitch :(

He’s not talking about Liverpool, he’s talking about City and he’s right: For us the big two are head and shoulders above the others. “Complimentary” is the right term.

You are spot on,but with city and pep rolling into town and tv cameras there (yes they were there tonight) and the prestige of the game I’m sure Newport will be making sure the pitch is in better condition than tonight ..

We employ the same tactic we used throughout January with great effect...we rotate through 20 odd players.

There is a lot at stake for MCFC. We're basically where we were last season, and we never thought we'd have a crack at this, but here we are 12 months later and it's all on again.

Don't need to remind anyone that it was the FA Cup 5th Round where we lost at Wigan.

I know mate, it is what it is. Don't 2 rugby teams play at that ground also? and they have only lost at home twice all season... I wonder why :/
Best kit the players out with wellies rather than football boots!
Pep always plays strong sides I just hope he 'rests' all the main players for this.
