Tough game.I would have preferred the consistently mediocre Middlesbrough as opposed to Newport,who it appears have far more fire in their belly and are capable of a one off game of their lives.

We need to put out a team that has a balance of physicality,experience and youth.

Agree with that Middlesbrough on a premier league standard pitch with a bit of rotation we could walk past them. Newport will be a different proposition small compact ground, difficult pitch will be a little bit of a leveller.

Listening to the managers post match press conference he is in awe of Pep, he couldn't stop talking about us as a great team and is looking forward to this tie. Even if it was laid today it wouldn't be ready for the game. Best we can hope for is a few dry days leading up to the game, no rugby being played on it and a roller being used.

Remember Burton away who are in a similar position in League 1 the score was 0 -1, so no guarantee of an easy game and the pitch will indeed a leveller and if we don't put the effort in work > talent sometimes in these games.
I'm confident that won't be the case under Pep. Newport are 25 League places lower than Burton. The Wigan game was a strange one, dominated posession, down to 10 men from Delphs Yellow turned Red (Cheers Alty), a glaring mistake that allowed the chance and they had 1 shot on target. What odds that happening again?
