Nope. I don't remember feeling fantastic after it at all. I was raging at the ref for a ridiculous decision to send VK off, and I was raging at some of our piss poor defending (we were already 1 down when the red card happened). At the end the feeling was more of relief, and pride in the spirit we showed in that second half, that the vermin hadn't matched the 6-1 (and being 3 down at HT and down to 10 men, it was a real possibility).

This is exactly how I felt too.

good shout that they could have run up the 1.6 or more at half time they was thinking pay back
2nd half man city turn up and wall to wall city and you knew right there this city team are top draw and forget about superstars and not a team

THAT DAY WE BECOME A TEAM THAT MANCHESTER CITY CHAMPIONS ARE MADE OF

Rag mate rung me at half time

"This will be our payback for the 6-1"

To be honest i was fucking panic stricken and just tried to laugh him off but the way it was going i thought it could be worse than 6-1.

Anyway i was very pleased with the result and very angry with the decision for Kompany which even my mate said was a joke.

Yup, I was very proud and content. The third round of the cup didn't mean as much to me as the league and the message we sent out was clear for all to see.

Agreed.

Still didn't like losing to them though!

That was the day we showed the whole world we 'DO' have spirit.

It was also the day I realised we could win the league.

True, but rather it happened there than 2 games from the end of the season!

Weird, I was only trying to explain to a deluded twat at work the other day how that loss felt like a win to City. Completely useless.
