FA Cup Final - 18/05 1700hrs

okey doke. i was fancying a trip out into the sunlight, i've never been to a cup final with City before. I'm 100% armchair, daytripper material so i'm hanging out for general sale.

New Wembley is arguably the easiest ground in the world to jib in to. Not that I'm advocating such behaviour but a mate of mine has jibbed in 4 times starting with the Stoke cup final in 2011

All due respects to Watford should be a walk in the park for us. But they might show bit more resistance than Spurs :)

It's a joke. Match going fans once again at the bottom of the list. I'm sure I read somewhere earlier in the season that the final was being moved back to it's traditional 3pm KO last game of the season slot. Goalposts moved yet again by the FA/TV companies. Do they realise how difficult it can be to get back up North after an evening KO ?
You are right regarding ko time I remember reading the same thing , the bbc confirmed ko as 5.30 after the Watford game on Sunday yet our own supporter services are saying nothing has been confirmed, it’s a joke !!

I would have thought to reach the biggest audiences in China/India/far east etc then the ideal ko would be 3pm.
HK/China 7 hours in front India 5 and half hours in front so would be prime time for them.

The English broadcasters prefer 5.30 kick offs because they retain a significant chunk of the viewers for the rest of the evening

Based on the assumption their shit commentary will force to launch the remote across the room and not be able to find it afterwards?

Possibly. The first time they televised a game at 5.30 on a Saturday was United v Crawley a few years ago. Apparently ITV's viewing figures for programmes for the rest of the evening were approx 1m more than usual. I assumed it was just United fans who were too lazy to change channels but it seems it applies to all football fans.

I may have chosen the wrong year to drop the FA Cup scheme.

Its a gamble. In the 2011 final I watched the criteria go to ANYONE on the cup scheme, regardless of points could buy a ticket. I wasn't on it so missed out. Gutted wasn't the word and I haven't made the same mistake.

Did they even have the cup scheme then?

I'm season ticket holder low points. (didn't make the points cut off for the LC final). I'm thinking I won't get one.

If that's the case. What do you think is the best way/options for getting a ticket before the game? I can't be arsed standing outside shouting 'tickets anyone got any spares' like a tout like I've done a couple of times before.
