Really hit home that post mate. Hope you get sorted somehow.Son (rings me from school during lunch-break): "Dad, did you manage to get me a ticket for the Cup Final?"
Me : "No son, the cheapest I can get for us was £145 for me, £120 for you"
Silence ensues. Awkward 10 seconds.
Son : "Dad, you did the right thing, I wouldn't want you to pay so much".
Bad Dad or Good Dad, those f*ckers at the FA have took away a great day out for us.
£265 for a day he'd remember for the rest of his life. Sounds like a bargain to me. Each to their own.
Feel sorry for you both sir.Son (rings me from school during lunch-break): "Dad, did you manage to get me a ticket for the Cup Final?"

Thanks @Marvin , I just logged in randomly and picked up a £45 ticket for me, £35 for son in 514 - admittedly on top of the scoreboard!
The Gods are smiling on us today.
Good luck to everyone that hasn't got sorted yet.

You did the right thing. Maybe treat him to a European away next season. You'd be able to do a Euro away day the 2 of you with accomodation and flights for cheaper. All the group stage aways went right down to general sale this season.
Gotta win first ! My only memories of Wigan are fans arguing with each other and the fucking incessant rainThat's brilliant news . All those memories your son will have. Enjoy !!
I salute anyone who won't go due to them ridiculous prices.
Should be some session. My lads are in but me and our kid going to drink 145 x of beer in Harrow so happy days

Jesus that's brutal man. You ex military ?Of course I'm not going to pay for them, that would be idiotic.
Respect has to be earned and people who play the victim on a public forum don't deserve any.
If there's any tickets left there's still time for this dad to do the right thing - get them both to Wembley.
Woohoo.
