FA Cup Final - 18/05 1700hrs

Think it is great gesture. They usually charge £40 (Carabao cup final) and it was £20 for the semi. Think they are more for families or people who don't go to get drunk, some may be in for a disappointment if they think otherwise.

Free coach made the difference of me going vs not going. Not everybody can spend £500 on one game. I could but me and wife are saving for house deposit, so for me its costing £150 as opposed to £500, that is making it justifiable to go.

So what mate? City are helping thousands of fans get to the game free of charge. Most people won’t worry about a fiver difference but for some people struggling with travel costs, it could be the difference between going or not.

Btw we charge £40 on our coach
I'm looking at it from a democratic viewpoint. It's easy for you to say most people don't worry about £5 but some do. I could easily say most people don't worry about £30

Does anyone who has used the free bus offer before know when pending becomes confirms?

Saw in the T n C's it is usually after seeing the demand is there for the coaches?

I called them yesterday to see if it was possible to get on the same coach as a mate.
Gave them both our booking refs. and names and the guy said that he had actioned a request for us both to go on the same coach.
So without officially being confirmed I at least now think I have a bum on a coach seat.

Great gesture from the owners if you choose to use it, personally will drive as about a round trip over about ten hours on a coach dosnt appeal to me, the Club is not the issue with ticket pricing it's the FA this will be the first year that they can sell the £225 club Wembley tickets on mass as the original ten year "cheap" club Wembley package had expired and seats are available to open sale, to be able to charge between £145 and £225 for tickets for approximately 40% of the seats Is disgusting!

I'm happy for them that 2.5k blues are getting free travel but there are 28k blues who'd rather have a fiver in their pocket if they had the choice

Great place for a bum :-)

I'm not sure you can speak for 28k blues but you seem determined to bang this drum. I'm not going to the final, been to Wembley twice this season. On either occasion £5 would have made little difference to me but for some I appreciate it's a lot although hard to see how it softens the 3 figure hit of a trip to Wembley.

If I was going I would choose to make my own way but think it's a great gesture by the club which will really benefit those who choose to take advantage of it.

Seems churlish of you really to find fault.

Why should some people benefit from a decent saving, and others get nothing. Seems to be the way that the less effort you make the more you are looked after and there are many examples of this, such as joining champions League cup schemes and being surrounded in the group games with people on freebies, join the FA cup scheme, go to the semi final where thousands couldn't be arsed, and then get nothing, and the next thing coming is trawl all over the country supporting the team in the lean times, you can guess the rest.

They are benefiting because they have opted to use a free service, no one is getting preferential treatment.

Free coaches were put on, if you choose not to use them that is on you, I don't want to use them and wouldn't have gone on a coach anyway; so to me I lose nothing no one is losing out, they are opting out of a service on offer.

Would I rather they hired football special trains instead? Yes

The saving is available to all. You just need to travel by coach from the Etihad.
