FA Cup Final | Ticket Criteria

Fucking scandalous ive just been told a friend of ours has a cup final ticket from Edinburgh supporters club as they got 30 YES 30 tickets and this twat has been to only one home game this season. And u wonder why we get fucked off.

Some edgy rag in the boozer was having a dig at me yesterday about something similar and just thought he was exaggerating like they tend to do. Said one of the supporters clubs near us requirement for a cup final ticket was only attending one paltry game this season. Sounds like it might be true after all. Quite ridiculous.

I know a branch who have got 95% of the tickets they asked for, most members only do a handful of games, some of them who have asked for tickets have asked for 3 and 4 and will get them despite not putting any effort into watching City, not season card holders or members, just located ideally, they also have 2 for Brentford where the likelihood is 2 people will get them who again are nothing but casual part time fans, before anyone calls this out, I will categorically state it is all 100 % correct what I say, I feel for those who miss out

Easier to have 50 tickets on a club member bus going down together x that by 200 buses, it's easier getting people in & out I'm afraid imo that's how they want it

Why have 30,000 single tickets spread all in cars, planes, busses & trains well we allno what the trains are like
Just a fact its easier to manage?

Not doubting what you've been told but it's not as black n white as that. Whatever tickets are given to supporters clubs they have to allocate it to a branch member and details are provided to City. Once that supporter number has been used it cannot be used to purchase a second ticket (unless City's criteria for a particular game allows this)

Therefore if as you say people have asked for 3 or 4 and will get them then the only way that can happen is they have a large number of season ticket /members not going and are using there supporters numbers but people could and will do that anyway whether it's through a supporters club or a private transaction.

Whilst some season ticket holders may decide not to go they will all have a relative /friend who wants to go and no doubt will buy a ticket on their behalf.

It's not therefore a supporters club issue it's a general sales issue but short of asking for photo ID at the turnstiles for everyone and names on tickets to ensure only the purchaser uses it I dont see how you can stop it and implementing that for every game would be impractical

I dont think people should underestimate the effect of the train strike. I did a bit of a straw poll with my neighbours in the ground on Saturday and quite a few said they weren’t going because of the trains.

I want to go but I have be back on Saturday night so I’m looking at the coach but the prospect of a four hour journey down and probably close to six hours back isn’t exactly filling me with joy.

Would have thought most branches running a bus, SCs seem to get it in neck for big games only. Many moaners on here for semi final was there.
Im sure a lot of SCs will run a bus ( not all ) but they should not get more tickets than they have season ticket holder members. Why should someone who not made an ass of an effort all season get a chance for a final before ST holders who go to most games.

the tickets will be allocated to members who won't be going, and then passed to those who want extras, really unfair, no way should casual supporters be getting privileged access to such a game, but it is happening

Pretty much the case with those moaning again not made much of an effort all season now we’re in final want a ticket, vast majority of SCs tickets will go to season ticket holders or regular travellers.
