They literally didn't award the correct decision. One team was just punished because of the ref.

But VAR allows him to reverse the decision he made, dead ball or not.

The correct decision was a corner so the wrong decision was made.

No, VAR reverses the pen award, the ball was dead when the whistle blew and that was before it went out of play so you restart with a dropped ball.

I can see both sides of the var argument, but this faceless official sat in a bunker making decisions is gonna kill football. No point in having a ref on the field if his decisions mean nothing .

So Marriner awards two pens they get checked by VAR first one no pen correct second one was a pen correct,yet the same ref couldn’t see the stonewall pen against sterling on Monday ( premier league game no VAR ) but even that wouldn’t have been needed it was so cut and dry a decision ..

He has reffed us 4 times this season and been involved a few more times as well,something dodgy is going on as he is always blind when it comes to us
