FA Cup Games 27/28 Jan & 6/7 Feb replays

I honestly dont think that Liverpool have progressed since Klopp came, they play brilliant at times but not often enough. There defence has never been this bad. If you want to be called a big team you have to earn it . You are not a big team if you cant win the league title in 30 years

Will we have var tomorrow?

No because their ground wont be ready for the tech and it brings up another issue in that say a PL club gets home draws all the way to the final and benefits by VAR in every game to get there whilst another club goes out at a ground without the tech to a wrong decision.

Its a complete joke the way they have introduced it and it isnt fair at all.

Any player asking for it should automatically mean the decision is against them.

Agreed !

No system is perfect. I actually said that. However both VAR decisions were correct. Thats a good thing. If someone's getting there shirt pulled no where near the ball, that's hardly comparable to a player interfering with a goal keeper when a goal is scored.

It is because it's a reffing mistake.

The var should only be for real shocking decisions not a marginal offside or a routine shirt pull, half of which are not given.

If WBA's 3rd goal had been one toe offside, it would have been cancelled out.

All the people backing this are going to be fucking gutted if it stays with us in this form.

Offsides need more thought under VAR - this match is showing that.
The second one shouldn't have been referred, and suggests the VAR is being used for 'might be off' and not just 'looks very much offside'. I don't think that is working well, especially as there is already a person with a flag.

They are small time. Can only get up for big games, classic underdog syndrome.

If the rags scored an offside goal against us many wouldn't give a crap if it took 4 minutes to wipe the goal off.

What is interesting with this VAR lark is I bet 9 out of 10 referees would have booked the player for diving at a soft touch. Because he did exaggerate his fall considerably.

If VAR stops all contact AND stops exaggeration to win a penalty. I am all for it.

But if you reward one thing and punish the other then it could make diving more common at any touch and lead to endless reviews as you surely have to check them all.

They are a big team they actually turned up against City and won the east lancs shield

Correct. if it's not obvious from a quick viewing, the decision on the pitch should stand.

If they need 3 mins to review it, then it's not an obvious mistake.
