FA Cup Games 27/28 Jan & 6/7 Feb replays

The trouble was if that VAR penalty is technically right - as it was - then there might be 10 in every game as that sort of touch happens over and over but rarely gets given because of the theatrical reaction of the attacker.

If that is now overlooked by VAR then this will be a cricket score.

And games will end at midnight.

Football was OK, it was working, why this shit?

None of us were saying it when we were getting shit offside goals against us and no getting obvious pens, football has been incompitent for a while with on pitch decission making.

Andrew mariner taking 3 mins to say pen or not is what slowed it down then, VAR will work unfortunately the refs watching the screen replay will be the same useless twats

The offside was right although the touch judge should have seen it.
The penalty had flawed process. What it needs is:
- Video ref says possible foul. go to screen.
- ref draws the square and goes to the screen
- job done, no chatting.

It may need a light system to show the VAR is looking at something but I bet the majority of people in the ground DO know what is going on, whatever the BT idiot says.

everything new takes time to bed in

Its not about being new. This is what it is. They have it in Rugby & it takes ages.

It should only be for violent conduct & shocking mistakes in football not every marginal.decision. Riley said that's what would happen. Fucking liar.

This ref is checking on each Liverpool attack to see if he can give them anything.

how DO they know whats occuring?

Why are so many of you so desperate for VAR to fail? I mean if we can get it right it's good but if it goes wrong we're stuck with the shitty system we have now.

I think a lot of people need to try and be more open minded

....because they're probably the same people who wished City would go back to being crap.

People hate change.

I fear not enough people know this. If we lose a cup final due to an offside goal I doubt people will be grateful that the game had a nice flow

Too many luddites on here

BOTH DECISIONS ARE CORRECT. If City were adversely affected by these decisions, there'd be even more cry babies on here
I don't care how long it takes.
If you're worried about time, get an independent time keeper in (another hope of mine).

VAR (in all sports) works 99% of the time.

Take your heads out of the sand

If the ref immediately puts a hand to his ear, makes the screen symbol and then runs off to the booth, I'd like to think they can work it out quite quickly.
What doesn't help is the ref standing around for 90 seconds without doing anything.
