Barrow was my other team when we moved there from Saddleworth. The tin shed end at Holker Street wasn’t quite Maine Road but I saw some good games there vs Gillingham Torquay, Stockport County and the like.

I used to live round the corner from Holker Street. One of the first games I ever saw was when City visited in pre-season. Back when PL teams used to do that. I think David White was playing.

Everton were shockingly bad during that opening 20 minutes. They remind me so much of City in that period of the ‘90’s just before we went down.

I didn’t live too far from Holker Street and visited the City games in the 80s. Haven’t lived there since the mid 90s but still look out for their results. First post btw having lurked for a very long time.
