FA Cup Games 7/8/9 Jan

As Nial Quinn, Paul Merson, and several other pundits have said, the mark of a potential champion is letting a team of generally (or massively) lower skilled players batter you and then miraculously come back to draw the match in the final minutes when that team tires.

Truly an innovative strategy from Arsenal which is rightly being praised by the media.

No different to the Bravo challenge which I also didn't think was a foul. Serious inconsistency in our game.

That was exactly the same as Mustafi's challenge in the air
Maddely at his best. Hugill gets elbowed in the air and not even a foul. Hugill the elbows Gabriel in an identical situation 2 mins later and he gets a yellow.

I am shocked (shocked I say) to find that the coverage of the FA Cup in the US has completely whitewashed our demolishing of West Ham (at theirs) yesterday in favour of endlessly playing the flattering-to-deceive Rags win over Championship fodder at Old Riff-Rafford.

They need to up their quota of Rag mentions if they are to hit targets-gets right on my tits.

Replay of Robinson's headed chance shows that Mustafi may have blocked the ball with his hand.

Don't worry, Arsenal is nothing if not consistent with the implementation of their "get battered and comeback to draw" strategy—they'll either hold for the replay or Preston will score again.
