Moreso than had we had to face Liverpool.

If they aren't taking the loss from the rags seriously then all this talk on how dippers vs rags is the biggest rivalry in the whole worlds is pretty much nonsense in the first place.

Plus it gives the rags a bit confidence ahead of them playing the dips again in April.After last season everything for us is a bonus and the thought of our unique treble (we won it as current English champions) being in some way comparable or even less than the dips winning four pots needed putting to bed. That had to be the priority.For me, right now, we needed the quadruple nonsense to end more than the rags winning a football match, so I’m happy enough with the result.
They're also easier to beat, so it increases our chances of winning the cup, although drawing Chelsea offsets that a bit.
I hate the rags more than the dippers, but shutting the cult‘s narrative up was more important right now.
Even if they fluke a cup win, no one will seriously think that they’re back. It locks in Tent Peg for another season too.
