Not sure why discussing the best ways to get to a game is ‘nonsense’?
Ok then

The best way is the megabus

Cheap as fuck

Reliable workforce - ie no bone idle work shy greedy employees prepared to go on strike willy nilly and thereby selfishly sabotage ordinary people’s leisure pursuits

Not sure if mentioned already, but if City don't win it (please do), then it will be the first major trophy for the winner this millennium.

The most ridiculous issue that we have every year is the length of time it takes TV to arrange four games. My guess is that it will be towards the end of the week before the dates and times are announced.
Probably took them such a long time as they were searching for the rags' number.

I am confident that Pep will pick the strongest possible starting 11 given injuries hampering his plans. There is some confidence creeping back into the defence mainly due to Khusanov's enthusiasm. With two dynamic wingers, Omar and Erling we will give them something of a game. I am not being overconfident just very optimistic for a good result.

Its a shit draw for a few things

the team, yawn boring prem game
the place, a schlep to a dour town
the allocation is wank less than 2000
the ko time gonna be either early or late so again the schlep there and back will be shit

the actual team matters not, we can beat anyone and lose to anyone, andnany team we got now.would have been a test, just a team in a less shit place to go to would have been better

If Bournemouth s a " dour town " where the F does that leave little ol Gunchester ?? One asks ?

Can’t be the Monday as we have Leicester at home on the Wednesday. I doubt it’ll be the Friday either as I think that might still be classed as the international break so it ought to be the Saturday or Sunday.

Edit: Just seen someone post that Bournemouth have a game on the Tuesday so looking like it’ll be on the Saturday
by the same logic, Bournemouth, Ipswich, Vila, Forest are all down to play on the Tuesday so everyone will want to play on the Saturday which the TV companies wont allow

Tbf the ground is in Boscome which has seen better days, been away to it twice and tbf drove so not been to bourn emouth town exactly, but around the greound its always been grim weather and a grim high street

It’s not so much a case of the broadcasters not allowing it but more that they won’t be happy because it would mean two games having to be played simultaneously and consequently impacting on viewing numbers.
If all four games have to be on Saturday there are only three viable TV slots - lunchtime, early evening and 8:00pm. Adding to the chaos, the last of those could then be subject to police approval.

Bournemouth itself has really gone downhill in recent years. Significant issue with street drinkers which was unimaginable a few years ago, but Poole Quay and the streets off it still has some decent boozers if you can deal with drinking six miles away from the ground.
