They sold it out that is why they made the complaint. They only got 1,300 and sold the lot in quick time due to their FA Cup final.
My recollection as per @M18CTID was that they moaned like fuck, then were given the full allocation and didn't shift them anyway.

It was a long time ago and sadly a few blues missed out on the last game at MR, as it stands it's not too important now.

No they didn't. And I think the complaint actually went in before they started selling the tickets. The FA Cup final the following week was almost certainly a contributing factor as well in them not selling out, as presumably many Saints fans were saving their pennies for that

Correct. Southampton fans were complaining that they had the right to receive 3000 tickets - the fact they didn't exercise the right to actually buy the tickets went above their heads!
What City should have done was given them tickets for the Gene Kelly stand and said come back when you want the rest. The phone would never have rang and there would not have been an issue

It's awesome that this has sold out. One match from Wembley! Big game.

20 year Saints season ticket holder. Funnily enough I don't remember signing up, it was only today when trying to register I got the "you already have an account" message, and reset the password. No recollection of when it was!

Every now and then, single tickets come up, but to all intents it's sold out at this point. If being able to purchase 1 ticket means they're still available, then my

Have to say, I'm a bit perplexed by the reaction of some of you guys. I basically just posted to encourage those not sure if they want to go that it'll be a great atmosphere and great game, and the ticket prices are good. I hope you guys fill up your end. But if you don't.... no stress. We haven't sold all our away tickets for every single game.
Anywhere near the ground that lets away fans in, noting I will have a 15 year old and a 13 year old with me (my kids, before I get accused of anything)

Pretty sure we’ll sell our allocation, the only reason it hadn’t yet is because different levels of loyalty points can get tickets on different dates, so loads of people have to wait. If they’d been on open sale they’d have been gone very quickly

They got the Gene Kelly and they sold it out. There was bigger attendance than United at home.

It is sold out as of today, went on open sale on friday.

Only because by being given the Gene Kelly, there was no need for any segregation. And no, they didn't sell out.
Just like united didn't against city as people saw gaps, however city didn't mention it in their defence and the Soton fans who missed out got compensated according to the ruling. However 19 years later things change on hearsay.

Not hearsay mate - mine is an eyewitness account. I'm still pissing my sides laughing at you claiming they sold ther allocation really quick all because they had to lay out for the FA Cup Final the following week!

It was a planned send of with subsidised coaches a club push to support the boys to get them up for the cup final.

That was sited in the claim by Soton, they could have filled the 3k, not just the 1,300 which they did.

City's only defence was health and safety, and there was no claim by city that tickets were returned. If they were not returned they were paid for and it sold out.

City had no proof it didn't sell out and neither do you. The figure will be in the first programme if you you don't believe me form 2003/04 .

And you don't have any proof that it did sell out either. There was plenty of talk at the time from people at the game that they took the piss with that complaint as we could all see that they didn't fill the Gene Kelly. Apart from you for some weird reason.

For someone who is such a pedant, you don't half get your facts wrong at times!
