FA Cup Quarter Final Draw

As well as the semi (if we get there) kick off times being stupid I think this year the Final will kick off at 5.30 meaning a finish around 7.20 which if the winning team's fans hang around might mean not leaving the ground until around 8.00pm. Ok if you are rag and have just a quick tube ride home but for other fans............

Even later if it goes into extra time.

Manchester City v Barnsley
Saturday 9th March 2013
Kick off – 5.30pm

City’s FA Cup quarter final with Barnsley is set to be a Saturday night special broadcast live on ESPN.

The tie has been selected for TV and is set to be played at 5.30pm on Saturday 9 March.

City cruised past Leeds 4-0 on Sunday to book their place in the next round, and will face Championship opposition for the third time in the FA Cup this season.

Barnsley, now coached by former City star Garry Flitcroft’s brother David, overcame MK Dons 3-1 in their fifth round match.

The two clubs have only met once – an FA Cup fifth round tie in 1993 in which City emerged 2-0 victors thanks to a brace from David White.

Ticket details will follow as soon as possible.

My fairly obvious point, was that anybody can beat anybody as you found out against Crystal Palace, which you disagreed with earlier.

(cue - blah-blah-blah, different competition, blah-blah-blah, blooding the youngsters, blah-blah-blah, weakened team, blah-blah-blah-blah-BLAH, ad infinitum response)

That's a lot of pertinent points you've put in brackets there and as city have nothing else to play for they will put out their best team and win.
Not last year you didnt. As I recall you won Nowt

Yeah we beat them in 1990 in a replayed final after a stonking 3-3 draw in the first game and since then we've been a trophy collecting machine. We also signed Zaha from them last month. What's your point?

When I renew my seasoncard I shall ensure I tick the Cup Schemes again. Very worthwile, and it might yet become more important should we get to Wembley. Not sure how that would work as it's another ground layout, and maybe a query for another day. Let's get there first!
