FA Cup R3 | Salford City (H) | Sat 11 Jan 1745

Probably for the best. The way we’re playing at the moment I’m getting flashbacks of Halifax Town and Gay Meadow.
Those games were away as were Bury and Bolton in the League Cup. We hardly ever lost at home to lower division teams when we were in the top division. I'm keeping quiet about drawing games and losing the replays.

Lower league clubs often take far more than their average attendance to FA Cup games away from home. And often from towns with a smaller population than Salford. Salford itself has a population of around 130,000 so there's plenty of scope for them to sell 6000 tickets. I've no doubt that there will be some "rag stragglers" in amongst their support but there will also be plenty of people who won't be looking for trouble and will be enticed by the prospect of a possible giant-killing act.
It’s like Salford Red Devils. Average about 4,500 at the AJ Bell yet filled half of Old Trafford for the Grand Final a few years ago.

£12-50 on the coach to do four and a half miles !!! Only paid 25 quid to Spurs in the League Cup ( yes it was FOC rate). But still the robbing gets !!! )
A coach ffs, are they for real, they could walk.

Lowry will be turning his grave :-)

Cost £4 on a City match bus or £2 on a Bee Network.
