FA Cup R5 - Sheff Wed (A) - Wed 4 Mar 7:45pm

I know. Have they still got that band playing everywhere they go? I remember them at Maine road in 2002, I couldn't hear myself think.

Had a spell of going to watch them with a Wednesday supporting mate (Terry - RIP brother) when City weren't playing (Lee Chapman era). They are very similar to City fans away (loud and proud).

Remember my old man telling me he was at Hillsborough in the 30s for a cup game with City over 74,000 record crowd. Then he was at Maine road next round v Stoke also a record crowd 84,569.

Fair play, that.
A club with history, eh? ;-)

I'm happy with the draw against a fairly local club in a famous old stadium. As good an away game as any in what should be a good game that we can't be complacent in. Not been since 2003 when Keegan thought he'd signed the next Ali Benarbia in Djamel Belmadi. That was a reserve game with about 300 hundred watching. Hillsborough under the lights amongst a sellout crowd in a 5th round FA cup game. Be rude not to, especially when we should get a decent allocation. I'm looking forward to going to Hillsborough again.

I read somewhere City played Wednesday in a cup replay, but the replay had to be a 3pm ko midweek and 69k turned up at Maine Rd, employers let fans take time off to watch the game, I think that was in the 1930s, and they say we haven't got any history.
