FA Cup R5 | Swansea (A) | 10/02 Wed 5:30pm

Been to whaddon road a few times as mrs is from that neck of the woods. Saw their first ever league game there v Rochdale. We should win but defo potential banana skin. Swansea away was a v losable game last time out and ofc forest have form for dumping us out of the cup. Tricky ties

We owe Forest was at the Sunday game in the 70's , FA Cup they gave us a right drubbing 3-0 and Duncan McKenzie had a blinder , not sure but i think it was during the miners strikes and power cuts and , Sunday games were a rarity in those times , but it was a truly miserable day.
Were you an early leaver, it finished 4-1. Frank Carrodus scored for us in case you were wondering. ;-)

That was the time of the 3 day week. It was an early KO (by the standards of those days) - I think it was a 2pm - as the use of floodlights wasn't permitted. As you say, Sunday games didn't normally exist & everything was usually 3pm Saturday. I remember it well for all the wrong reasons. McKenzie was unplayable that day.

It was a while ago , but we did get tanked and the specifics do not make the memory any better, didnt McKenzie get a hat-trick , he was some player , seem to remember we ended up at the side of the pitch near the players tunnel , which part of the ground were you in.
