Fa Cup Scheme

Am I reading this right? Since when have non season ticket holders being able to join the cup schemes?

The scheme is now open and will close at 5pm, Friday 28th November.

Benefits of joining the scheme include:

  • Your seat guaranteed for every FA Cup home game.
  • Lower ticket prices compared to standard member sale.
  • Secure tickets automatically – no need to purchase game by game.
  • Priority access to away matches, semi-final and final tickets ahead of Season Ticket Members not on the scheme and Matchday and Junior Members on the FA Cup Scheme.
  • Earn 100 Ticket Points for joining

How would it allocate a seat? I don’t think it’s possible actually, probably a typo.

EDIT: see below

I got an email inviting me to join the scheme from next Monday. Limited to 500 places. Need to have attended 8+ fa cup matches over past 3 seasons. Drops to 7+ matches on Tuesday and so on.

That’s a good idea to be fair. Do you get to pick a seat then?

Wording says 'secure a ticket". Really pleased because I love the FA cup. Edit: does say select a seat and keep it.

We are excited to introduce our brand-new FA Cup Member Cup Scheme trial for qualifying Matchday and Junior Members in 2025/26.

Thanks to the number of FA Cup matches you’ve attended, you’ve earned access to this exclusive benefit and are able to join during the window shown below! This gives you the chance to guarantee your seat for every FA Cup home match this season.

As a member, you’ll enjoy these benefits:

  • Secure a ticket for every home FA Cup match
  • Select and keep the same seat for each home FA Cup match in every round
  • Enhanced access to away FA cup tickets (including finals) before members not on the scheme, during the same sales window as Season Ticket Members not on the scheme
  • Transfer your FA Cup home ticket to another Matchday, Junior, Cityzens or Season Ticket member (not on the FA Cup scheme)
  • Earn 100 Ticket Points for joining the scheme
  • Enjoy a price cap of £35 up to and including the quarter finals

I also got the email, the cynic in me is still searching for the charge but it does seem a good scheme, I wonder what are the odds on us not getting a home tie this season

Cup matches are a lottery as you could win a competition without ever playing at home.

Also these days there is no guarantee the game will be played at 3pm on a Saturday.
Which has always been the case in the FA Cup, but less chance of midweek games now.

8/1 or is it 16/1?
16/1 assumes City will always win in rounds 3, 4 an 5.

Just registered for the FA cup scheme. Email went out around 10.17. Only 5 blocks available: 035, 039, 001, 303, 304.

Why limit it to 500? Why have sales criteria?

Very little the ticket office does makes sense these days. If you want to encourage bums on seats, especially with a new stand opening, surely you'd make these available to anyone who wants them?

If someone has attended 8 FA Cup matches already chances are they would buy a ticket for this game already. Now they will have pre-committed and be in less of a position to take a kid or a family member when the game comes around.

As a SC holder who binned the last cup scheme I was on this season (FA Cup) I had an email sometime last week which I only glanced at and deleted offering me the option to join up again....maybe take up is low?
I doubt it. We pretty much sell out every home FA Cup tie these days. I think the scheme just ensures that those who have attended Cup matches before go to the front of the queue. It’s a good deal for £35 a game.

I think they’re just trialling the idea at the moment. I suppose one of the questions will be do the club offer ST holder seats who aren’t in the cup scheme or do they reserve these in case they want to buy them. Then there’s the potential of what happens for semifinal and final tickets? Could an ST holder (not on the scheme) also set up a matchday account and join that scheme thereby guaranteeing themselves priority windows for two tickets?

ST holders not on the schemes don't have their seats reserved. The two next to me aren't on any schemes and I usually try and buy them for cup games, as soon as they go on sale.

Yes I know they’re not guaranteed but when you put sales criteria in then it’s usually ST holders who get first dibs because they have the most points and many will just go into their usual seat.

Not quite correct ,anybody who has to relocate due to increased away allocation get a day before the non cup scheme season ticket holders
