Just been informed it’ll be 3pm Saturday. That’s come from a source involved in planning the transport arrangements. Don’t shoot the messenger if it turns out to be wrong!
I'd be very surprised but would be my preferred date out of the two so fingers crossed your source isn't HP...

The Liverpool semi, two years ago kicked off at 3.30 on a Saturday. But there were a multitude of reasons why the FA decided to break the blackout for it to be at that time.

Mainly transport issues and that there were only a handful of football league games being played that day.

It might be on a Saturday but it almost certainly won't be at that time.
The bullets have been loaded, start your engine, the boys are coming.

So Cov will be playing Sunday and League game Tuesday, can't see it.
Pretty straightforward to move Coventry’s game to Wednesday if necessary. Still over a month away so not as if it’s especially short notice.

Unless they get around the 3pm black out i can't see that happening.
The SF against the dippers two years ago kicked off at 3:30pm on the Saturday. Special dispensation was given regarding the blackout.

It was easter weekend and EFL clubs were playing Friday and Monday, so that made it easier.

It would be easier for us to play the Sunday, then Brighton Wednesday. With us having not re-arranged the Brighton fixture it would fit in well this way, instead of moving Coventrys game.

The special dispensation was because of train strikes which meant an early or late kick off would be even worse for fans so they allowed it. That mitigation doesn't apply this time. What was Sheffield United last season 4.45pm on the Saturday? It will be similar to that and the Sunday game will be 4.30pm or something I'd imagine and Sky will have a 2pm game and no 4pm one in the league.

I still believe we'll be Sunday.

If this is true it would make zero sense with City the only team with a game in the midweek before, and Coventry also scheduled to play on the Tuesday evening after. This would also result in Pep fielding a half arsed team circa Liverpool 2022.

Agree that it doesn't make much sense due to us playing the midweek game (it would also mean Cov having to move their Tuesday game as you've pointed out) but if it was the Sunday that would probably mean only 3 days rest for the rearranged Brighton away game instead of 4 so it's swings and roundabouts. We played on the Saturday last season against Sheff Utd 3 days after playing in Munich so there is a precedent for playing a CL QF tie on the Wednesday and an FA Cup semi on the Saturday

Agreed there is a precedent but not when one of the other semi finalists is playing Tuesday. Why should Hull be inconvenienced when there is no need to move that game. Coventry play Saturday and we play Sunday is the only option that should be discussed, it's just a question of the ko times. Presume everyone has to wait to see who Sky want to fuck over that weekend with their stupid ko times and then ITV / BBC will work around them.

Oh, I totally agree that other unconnected clubs shouldn't have their games moved but we've seen this kind of stuff before so I wouldn't put anything past them!
