I understand why a lot of City fans would prefer a Northern/ Midlands option for the semi.

But I also suspect that if you did a survey of fans of all 92 league clubs, that the majority would vote for Wembley at 91 of them.

Oh my goodness you didn’t tell me folks that the Trafford lot have already won the FA Cup. You could have let me know and I would have been spared the fact that my Trafford supporting relatives and friends have suddenly remembered that I still exist!!! *lol*

I’ve heard from 5 people this evening that I haven’t heard from since before Christmas! All Trafford supporters although three of them never set foot in the place. :-)

I was meaning more the players than the fans, the fans obviously want to be at the final, the players would relish playing against the best players in the world.

Is the semi final the weekend AFTER we play Madrid at home on the Wednesday? If so then surely we want the Sunday game? As the only team in the fa cup semis and still in Europe we should get the consideration, but we never do

Yes it’s the weekend after the Madrid second leg.
The downside to playing Chelsea on the Sunday is that means less rest before the Brighton game which will more than likely be played the following midweek. Brighton have 10 days without a game before that - they’re out of the Europa and their game against Chelsea on SF weekend will now be postponed.
Depends how big a priority the FA Cup is compared to the title.

No guarantee it will be the Sunday.

Last year we were the 2nd game out of the hat in the draw (like this time... Not that I think that means anything! ), we'd played away in Bayern on the Wednesday (Madrid home this time), and we still ended up playing on the Saturday.

Second best team left in the cup went out today. Absolutely no reason why we don’t win it from here.
