FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

Trains back to Manchester expected to be at 20.20, 20.54 (if no extra time), 21.00, 21.20, 21.24 and 21.46 (if goes to extra time). May come back slightly differently when timings validated by Network Rail.
Great news mate, any idea when this will be announced so we can book?

Depends how long it takes Network Rail to time these (it's a big specification also involving Wolves on the Sunday). I'd expect something to appear in public planning systems in about a week or so.

I have booked the Ibis, Wembley as there was never any hope of getting back to Edinburgh.

I see the 'voices of gloom' are one here suggesting that City will be lucky to take 15,000 to Wembley. If the regulars can't afford to go or can't be bothered, this will open thing up for others to experience a Wembley match.

I'm going, but to be fair , we're now in unchartered waters, as the opportunity for "others to experience a Wembley match" was offered by the Charity Shield.

The Brighton game is in the same month as the two legs of the CL Quarter final, and without wishing to sound too arrogant, it will be a major shock if City don't return to Wembley for the Final.

Even when United did the Treble, they exited from the League Cup at an early stage, and played their FA Cup Semi Final at Villa Park.

we sold out 2 years ago v arsenal ,33 thousands seats with the kick off the same late time as this game v brighton

I'v got to get mine and my lads tickets so I'll be making savings over the next few weeks, more cheap booze from aldi ! where there's a will there's a way

edit, just seen we play cardiff weds 3rd april,so no home game for 2 weeks ,that helps a bit

Getting extra tickets for friends, think it's a rip off, think city fans are shafted, but the team, pep and the owners deserve the support, the club should help with transport, or even offer an incentive of buying champions League and semi final, be it loyalty points, free travel, or a voucher at the shop. This could work if there is a willingness from the club and fans.

As long as the club drop the points quickly in decent sized chunks this will sell out I would have thought.

Don’t agree with that at all, the kick off time makes it a complete pain in the arse and most people will be picking their priorities with a final and possibly (hopefully) a trip to Madrid real possibilities in the next couple of months.
to be fair I started by saying "anyone who doesn't go through finances or health etc - fair enough" - if the priority is based on finance (with possibility of final and Madrid), fair enough. But otherwise - no excuse. Kick off is a pain in the arse? I agree. I have zero chance of getting back same day even if it finishes in 90 mins, but who cares we are at Wembley and I am not going to miss it because there may be another bigger game later, that (if it isn't through finance) is the sign of a glory hunter.
