FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

That’s say 7500 tickets not available and low uptake elsewhere. Hope we have thousand of citizens and blue card holders wanting to go
Need as many down as possible. It is expensive but it also looks like complacency setting in (just going final).

It is posts like this that piss me off. Complacency ? Please tell me how you can get there and back ? I live in Manchester and I am having to stay overnight, that is added expense that a lot of Blues can't afford, fortunately I can. The ticket prices are stupid and don't obviously take into account that 33,000 of us have just been to Wembley. We will hopefully be going again in may for the final so again we will struggle to get there and back and afford it.
I await your answer.

i wonder how our support compares if say, Newcastle or Sunderland were in our position, apparently Sunderland could have sold 70000 tickets for the checkatrade final at the weekend, imagine if they were going for the quadruple, i know people wont like it, but i think they would be far more up for it than a very large chunk of our support.

I wonder if Sunderlands millions of loyal fans will have to stand in the aisles of the train going there never mind getting back, oh wait that was for the League Cup, we can't stand on the way back because there aren't any trains.

I'm not being argumental about your post, you make very good points, however why can you not go back on the 9pm train, like quite a lot of us will ?

You don't have to stay overnight, that is obviously your choice, but if we miss it,give us name of hotel you at and we will crash in your room :)

Some good points mate but my ticket was £30 which is ok to be fair.

It is a 5.30 kick off, so full time is 7.15, extra time takes it to 8pm, penalties 8.15 or later, a presentation and clap the lads off takes you to after 8.30, the queues for the underground were horrendous for the league cup so the 9pm isn't an option. I know a poster keeps saying trust me there will be extra ones on but I watched scores of Blues stand all the way to Wembley on the train and all the way back so even if they put extra ones on I am not standing for 3 hours.

A number of people have never been to an FA Cup semi at Wembley, including 2011 v the Rags. Loads don’t agree with it being there.

OK, so you drive to the Etihad and get a £20 coach with Tommy Cooks and a £30 ticket, it is still £50 if you take sandwiches and drinks for the coach. But bear in mind we have already had a semi final (league Cup) 4 Champs league games and Spurs coming up plus of course we could be shelling out for another Wembley trip. I think it has less to do with complacency than cost, shit kick off time, family time and other factors stop Blues going rather than complacency.

This will be our 13th time at Wembley since 2011,they have been once, you work it out
At a time when we’ve just paid for a Wembley final and have another possible one next month, £45 Spurs home CL money coming out and another possible £45 semifinal to come out next month.

Then there are the, probably around, 5000 who’d end up going away to Spurs at £60 and possibly away to Juve or Ajax at great expense. And then a possible final in Madrid for about 25000 of us.

Clubs like Sunderland and Newcastle do the big Wembley day just a few times every few decades.

We don’t have a rich fan base, I don’t know where City, the Premier League, the EFL, the FA and UEFA think we’re all going to get our money from.

This is where City dicking us over yet again (and again and again...) with seasoncard price increases, £45-50 for many for the Spurs CL game and the EFL and the FA thinking charging £72 and £65 respectively for bang average behind the goal views. For a fan base that’s finished second from bottom in the Premier League average wage league twice this decade, it’s very difficult.

sunderland taking 70k to wembley ? i don't think so, surely portsmouth would sell their 35/40k tickets, it would be a sell out as its 5 years for sunderland and over 10 years for pompey. As someone has already said this will be our 13th visit, the expensive novelty that is wembley is unaffordable for many, sadly, if we don't sell out we don't sell out, not the end of the world for me, but hopefully the fa would look at this and think maybe we shouldn't make it such a ridiculous ko time for northern clubs to suit tv , MAYBE NOT ! i personally will probably be driving due to the possibility of extra time and penalties.

Maybe all football fans are the same or maybe it is just City fans but I am fed up of fans criticising other fans, we don't sing and when we do it's too fast, we arrive late and leave early, we don't go to home league matches and it looks embarrassing, we boo the champs league tune, there are too many old fans, the young fans are too noisy, I even saw a complaint that the Colin Bell song went on for too long. I could go on but now lets add to the list that we don't go to Wembley.

Perhaps it is a touch ironic that I am complaining about the complainers !

Driving down, normaly do the train but cost and the possible extra time has made that decission.
Usually drive but going by train this time. Kids footy in morning (sat/sun) and only just made LC final KO. So quicker journey and hopefully more relaxed assuming no extra time as on 9pm train back. CTID

It’s forums, mate. They are all the same, whatever the subject. People like to whinge anonymously.

You're fucking right though. Live and let live.

Stood up all the way home after the Arsenal final, crushed in the area between carriages with a dozen other people, barely room to move your feet, it was awful - never been as tired in my life it was like being put in a stress position for 3 hrs. Small price to pay for seeing us win at Wembley though.

One time we would just moan in the pub after the game, but every one either not turned up or left early and the pub is to packed and its to far to walk to town and the souvenir shop is to expensive, so I just sit in the car park for an hour waiting for the traffic to go as it so hard getting away from the ground, listening to Talk Sport which is rubbish .But you will never hear
me complaining or moaning about anything

Can’t moan to the wife about it so moan on here. As long as my wife is concerned everything is great, except you can not get a drink and something to eat at the club shop on none match days. No pleasing some.

100% agree, no consideration for the fans whatsoever, which i have said, also think the club could have laid on dirt cheap travel, and the concession prices are an absolute disgrace, but i do maintain we do have a large percentage apathetic fan base, where many just cannot be arsed, there are still loads of cheap seats at wembley available, i fully understand people not paying the premium prices. Anyhow, like Carlos says there are 2 weeks to go, maybe jumping the gun a bit.

"Cheap seats" is only half the story when it comes to yet another trip to Wembley. I'm going becasue I can afford it but I don't think you should assume that some of thse who aren't going its becasue they can't be arsed. Some people have quite tough choices to make a bout what they spend their money on.
