FA Cup Semi Final draw - Brighton

The only way to guarantee people turn out is for the club to say that if you go to the semi-final you get priority on the final tickets if we get there. I think that would get some fingers out of arses.

They can't do that though as they have already set their stall out with priority for cup scheme members and those with most loyalty points.

I am going to the game but I moved down to the Thames Valley in 1990 so games at Wembley are usually as convenient as it gets, aside from playing Reading or Oxford.

I'm not surprised that a lot of people just cannot afford the time or money to travel down although I would have hoped that there would be enough Blues who are not regulars at the Etihad that would want a chance to go to Wembley to take up a good portion of the slack. I bought a couple of additional tickets on behalf of Blues who live in the South and don't often get the chance to go to games.

Why would anyone need an excuse.

None of anyone elses business.

He has to be on the WUM with that post.

Its the new modern phenomenon now online trolls on social media platforms jumping on any little thing to try and point score or belittle other clubs. Lots of them don't even live in the UK and have never been to a game of the club they claim to support which kind of turns the joke back onto them. Last time I checked we are the fourth best supported club in the premier league and have been third or fourth for a number of years, even when we were shite.

Twenty plus thousand fans for a game 200 miles away for a 17:30 kick of is a great effort.

you are right of course, but considering we havnt played at home for a month, most fans have hardly been stretched, maybe we just dont have a passionate fan base.

Seriously? My monthly direct debit for four season tickets goes out regardless. As has another £135 in recent days for the Spurs 2nd leg. So that's nearly £400 City have had out of me in last four days.

not very good is it, more like a following that a modest league two side would take to the checkatrade final. Still loads of cheap seats left so price cannot be used as an excuse.
Only you know better as you were there in Div 2, and you should also know that many blues can not afford to go to 3 games at Wembley in one season. If this was our only Wembley appearance this season, or our 2nd, there'd be no problem.

Just frustrated I expect. It does take a bit of the joy/anticipation out of the game.

I don't really care how many tickets we sell tbh. I'll be there with my son and that's all that matters to me. Some rival fans, many of whom have probably never even been to see their own team live in the flesh, will sneer on social media about empty seats but fuck them. Stupid ticket pricing and kick off times should bring genuine fans together in protest, rather than petty point scoring but that's not the world we live in sadly.

Ric, if I could have liked that more than once I would have put 100 likes!! We are Manchester City and we do what we want (can do) to attend as many matches as we can. These social media types and the fans of other clubs are just jealous because they aren't there. The ticket prices and kick off times are flaming outrageous and brought me almost to using a swear word in a discussion with a rags fan last week!! Even he had to laugh when I just stopped myself from swearing!! :-)

But you are totally right. We're going and that's all that matters. Well said young Ric.

20 years since Gillingham and here we are competing for not 1 trophy but 4. What a fairytale. Playing the best football since I first watched City in the 1950s and really enjoying every game. But wait I must have got it wrong. I should not be watching what is being played on the pitch. I should be counting seats or watching the exits whilst the game is in progress or complaining about staff doing their job in difficult circumstances. Nah, I will watch the football, it makes me happy. Dreams do come true.

Possibly but it sticks in the throat a bit when I presume fellow City fans start having a pop as well, it is bad enough with all the trolls from other clubs getting on their undeserved high horses. We still have four days of sales to go yet and I'm sure for everyone going it won't detract from their joy at all.

Would love to go but with a newborn baby and a job to juggle I have to pick and choose my games as it is. I won't be going to the final if we happen to get there either, just can't justify the cost and even more so the time at the moment, shit fan obviously.

Each to their own mate, don't blame you in the slightest. Other things take priority over City every now and again.

Nobody needs to justify not going IMO, everyone's personal circumstances, financial situation etc are different. It's bad enough with social media nerds having a pop at city fans without us calling each other out for not going to a game. Congratulations on the baby btw!.

Cheers mate, feels weird not making the trip this season, become accustomed to it over the last few years but my little blue is my priority this time round!
