Best place to park and get the tube into Wembley?

It sounds like you must have bought two fixed train singles that have worked out £30 dearer than a flexible return, that you can use on any train at a weekend.

Probably have as I’ve got an allocated seat (which I’ll probably be told on the day isn’t allocated due to how busy the service is!).

Bit of a grumbler but I’m sucking it up as I can tie it in with meeting a mate. Probably would have sought a cheaper alternative if I couldn’t use the time.

Best place to park and get the tube into Wembley?

Anywhere on the North West corner of the metropolitan line is decent for getting to Wembley. We've parked in Ruislip and Watford a few times. Don't want to get too close as you'll pay through the roof for parking

I know it sounds like I’m rubbing it in but just saying for future reference. You can buy a flexible return and still go to any station beforehand and show it them and they’ll do you a seat reservation on the one you intend catching for free. But it’ll still be valid on any other train if you change your mind. Just won’t have the booked seat.

I always park at Stanmore, just a few mins off the M1, plenty of JustPark type spaces available within walking distance of the tube.

How long is the journey there and back on the coach usually and does it stop a couple of times?

There are a number of traffic lights between here and Wembley so the answer has got to be yes. Bound to get at a couple :-)

Hillingdon is always decent. Theres a big pub right by the station called The Swallow that does decent ale/food, and a big station car park - or if you use Just Park you can use someones driveway for relatively cheap. Tube from there takes about 20 mins and you are quickly back on the M40 getting away.
