Yep, ref didn’t restart, nice bit of recondite knowledge that pal! I always thought it was “the law” that the game had to restart after a goal. In some parallel universe that game is still being played.
Brazil? From a corner v Sweden?Same as a referee will very rarely end a half while a team has a promising attacking going, even if time is up. Nothing whatsoever in the laws to say they should do that but it’s just become common practice.
Although I don’t think Clive Thomas got the memo on that one.

Forget that. Doesn’t even make sense if I’d read the question properly.
Thinking about it some more, the answer is probably that the referee blew for full time before Norwich restarted play. Which isn’t really a mistake. There’s nothing in the laws to say a team must kick off. It’s just normal practice that a referee would allow them for a “tidier” finish to the game.
