FA Cup Third Round - West Ham (a) 7.55pm Friday 6th Jan

None of which changes the fact that in isolation 40 consecutive ties against PL and Championship opposition bucks the odds to a huge degree and might perfectly reasonably be deemed 'unlucky'. I made no observation about a broader picture encapsulating the entire history of football, merely that since we played Notts County we have 'enjoyed' a pretty stinking run, and even more so once you chuck our Chimps League draws into the equation

We never seem to get a CL group like Leicester did this campaign.

It is a fairly decent shout for it to be live on telly, however they do like the "banana skin" ties more for the cup,as prem games are on all the time, but being as the draw was dull,I can only see one which should be on telly, knowing how the tv companies work with the cup,and that is Preston v Arsenal, then maybe Bolton v Palace on BT

But of those 40 draws, I imagine most of them contained very few (if any) League 1 or 2 teams.

Apologies, they changed the seedings didnt they from this season.
You still had a point, we often seem to get much trickier teams from pots 3 and 4 than Leicester got. I reckon we got what you would call a genuinely favourable draw once of all the seasons we've been in the CL.
