Has anyone else noticed that Baconface always gets credited as "the first manager on the phone to offer support", whenever anything slightly unpleasant happens to another manager?
Now we're told he was first on the phone after Hillsborough.
Has he got a fuckin bat phone or something? I find it difficult to believe that he's always the first to offer support/condolences etc, but that wouldn't fit in with the Manure corporate fairytale now would it.
I fully expect them to suggest at some point that he was first on the phone to Matt Busby as he lay in his german hospital bed in 1958.
Never mind about the knighthood, I'm awaiting calls for his beatification!

Ferguson really does have the media in his pocket,
For starters he wasn't "canonised" for his tribute to Bobby Robson, the day it was all about Robson himself, a true football gentlemen, rather that what Fergie said.
And yes he should be vilified for what he said about Wiley because, even if it is true or not, you don't say it so publicly and use it as a crude front to hide your own team's failings.
As much as I hate to say it he has won a lot with United and is one of the more respected managers in the game - but that doesn't mean he is immune from criticism when he behaves like a spoilt brat and he should be punished like everyone else would.
