We have some players who have struggled when playing against their previous club, Nasri, Sterling to name a couple but Delph played well, not really phased and proved what a really good acquisition he is going to be. Wonder how thankful he is that he come to his senses over the Summer?

Delph has handled the entire move brilliantly.

Really don't think you can say sterling struggled against Liverpool though, Everyone was absolutely wank that day.

And speaking of sterling and Delph, they both went for that tap in off Iheanachos overhead kick - can't believe he robbed us of seeing Delph score at the Holt end.

Would have killed to see that.

Cracked me up that Gana (the player many Villa fans declared 'the man who would make us forget about that twat Delph') was the one with two colossal fuck ups in the second half for the third and fourth goals while Delph quietly had a great game.

Did I hear Flowers call Stirling Sinclair a couple of times, the co commentator did not correct him so I was wondering if I heard right.

Think you can add Barry to that list too, always seemed to struggle against Villa.

As for Delph, I like him a lot. A snip at £8m.

I like Delph a lot. Seems to take everything in his stride and appears to be a level headed bloke. Goes quietly about his business, seems reliable, doesnt do anything daft or newsworthy. He'll do for me

Everyone said Delph was coming to warm the bench but he is proving everyone wrong keeps getting better and better. Wonder if he is supposed to take Fernandinho place in near future

He has made a good start with us,let's see if he can develop further and realise he cannot do everything, just be a part of a good side and play his role effectively. If he gets his head around that he can be a very important part of our squad however if he gets carried away and wants to knock wonder passes and get pulled out of position as he did for the West Ham goal then he may not get so much game time.

Delph has proved a brilliant buy. Had my doubts but he's been great. A very good footballer.
I never had any doubts, its nice to be proved right. When you have such a burning desire to succeed you almost certainly will, the man has dragged himself up the talent ladder through sheer determination and a belief in his own ability,a fucking great purchase.

The lad is busy every week making me eat my words.

Didnt think he was good enough but he is playing very well and proving to be a valuable asset to the squad.

Playing with better players will have helped but he's took his shot at the big time very well. Brave lad to make that u turn knowing he'd get pelters. To a lot of people it would show ambition, cos it's us he's a snake. As he looks around his team mates at Wembley or a champion league night I'm not sure he'll give a fuck.

He was attempting to cover Otamendi who had gone walkabout.

I hope he gets to lift a trophy with us in the next few seasons. Any trophy will do. Just like Nasri did. Just like Barry did. Just like Milner did. Just like Lescott did etc etc. They were all branded mercenaries yet all walked away from City with silverware. Sure in 30 years time when sat with grandkids showing them the medals they will all look fondly on there time with us as some of the best in their careers. The comments such as "snakes" will be a long distant (irelevant) memory!

Cracking buy.
