I guess the bargain price factors in his current wages which otherwise they couldn’t afford.

Good luck to him.

Doubt Delph would have been on astronomical wages anyway but nevertheless Everton can pay decent wages, they gave Rooney a crazy wage when they brought him back from the rags, before that, they gave Lukaku a mammoth contract prior to selling him on. They’ve signed two Barca squad players in the last two seasons and they wouldn’t have been on peanuts.

Extremely sad to see him go but its a great move that makes great sense for all concerned.

Thanks go to him for his passion, his character, and his contribution to our remarkable recent success - a difficult presence to replace.

Pleased he has managed to get himself fixed up at Everton with a deal which suits him.

He owes City nothing and has always given his all to the team. Good luck Fabian .

How much it would cost us if we had a copy of Delph at Everton now and we would want to buy him? And with the English premium on top?
30-40m minimum.

9-10m for him imo is extremely cheap.

All the best Fabian. You played a massive part in our Centurions season. Thanks for the memories. Hopefully you can help the blue dippers beat the red dippers!

We are doing well to make our money back, a few years of overall very good service. Deputised well when we lost Mendy and for that he is worth his 8m or whatever we paid.

I agree that under normal circumstances you would expect us to get a better fee, however maybe there are other forces at work here.
We may have a home grown player in the pipeline who strengthens the squad more than Delph?
Him leaving gives Angelino a route into the first team at left back.
Him leaving gives Zinchenko more options to get game time in midfield
Everton will be strengthened and could push for that 6th place which puts some additional pressure on the Rags, Arse, Chelsea?

After his initial seasons, he probably couldn’t have imagined what the next two years would conjure. We’ve had his best years, he’s had his best years, and we can all part amicably.

With his injury record in recent seasons and on the wages he's on at City (he wouldn't be near that at Everton if it was the other way around)?
