Fabregas

It just keeps getting better and better.

Moyes and United have earlier today briefed they will be making a bid for Fellaini.

So expect that tomorrow.

The same wanker Moyes who described United's £12m interest last season in Baines as derisory and slagged us for tapping up Lescott.

What a team United will have next season, eh?

Bale, Ronaldo, Strootman, Thiago, Fabregas, Baines and Garay.

I suppose that's what an unlimited budget does for you.

It's hilarious. So transparent as well - love the briefing to the press that Moyes "had concerns" about Thiago's ability to cope with the physical side of the PL. Yeah right!

So fucking funny, I have been winding a couple of rag friends up about United's transfer dealings thus far and each, to a man, has bitten. I have just ended one convo this afternoon regarding the Fabregas bid with "You'd best get your Leon Osman chants sorted out in time for the start of the season". They went apoplectic. Brilliant.

I'll tell you what the fundamentals are behind this whole charade.

United have never been in the business of telling their rivals what they are up to in the market.

This is down to a multi-faceted PR, er, 'strategy'.

United are currently in a part of the world where they need to remind commercial partners that they are still setting agendas.

United are now a listed company in the States, so share valuation is always a consideration.

And more important than anything else, they are trying to paint Moyes as a manager who is calling the shots and not afraid to go after the biggest names.

It's ill-conceived, as all it shows is Moyes is not a big enough name to net the big fish.

So he's turned out to be Hughes mark2. Trying to buy players he's already bought at another club. Bid for Arteta anyone?

So its Fabregas to Arsenal....and then Arteta to the Rags.....Rag problem solved.

I assume that cesc doesn't want to leave barca tolm but if he did we would be interested?

Who wouldn't be?

We like Messi and Ronaldo, but we know £40m won't cut it, either.

What we should do is ramp the bidding up, regardless, what have we got to lose?

Let's announce a formal offer of £40m and see where it gets us. It's £15m more than United have offered and calls a few bluffs.

They won't get into an auction with us and both Fab and Barca would have to make their intentions perfectly clear.

Shits and giggles all wrapped up in sky blue gift wrapping with a 'fuck you' note to boot.

Now they've missed out on Thiago, instead of pissing around making laughably low bids for Fabregas (that would never be accepted in a million years), why haven't they just gone all out for Fellaini instead? He has a much publicised buyout clause that United can surely meet, has played under Moyes in the past, is the type of player they're missing in midfield, and is a thoroughly realistic target to boot. Surely he's one player that won't snub United if they show an interest.

Typical rags this season tickets not sold so lets link ourselves to a couple ov big names and get them shifted just like they did sjnider itd just a big pr stunt!! Baines will be there main signing

Because he's not going to make the world sit up and go:

"Wow - this new boy really means business. Perhaps all the misgivings we had about Ferguson leaving, and the Club being taken over by a complete no-mark, were unfounded. Lets not sell all our shares after all"

He's the one who they will sign, and who they were always going to sign all along - but expect a plenty more £25 million bids for Messi, £20 million bids for Bale and £15 million bids for Ronaldo before the summer's out - whilst they quietly bring in Fellaini and Baines after all.

This isn't about signing players, its about keeping the dream alive for all the gullible, myopic, pig-thick Rags out there - and maintaining their share value, which is all important to the Glazers

Yeah, I'm well aware of all that so can see what they're playing at. My point though is that Fellaini ought to be a decent enough name to appeal to many of their fans anyway.
