Facebook City Ticket scammers

I’ve had a season ticket for 40 years give or take at City, my kids too. My daughter emigrated to America a few years ago, she is coming home for Xmas and new year with her husband. She went to her first match at 6 weeks old and is the biggest blue i know,

Anyway, been looking out for tickets for ages for the Chelsea game and ended up on this Facebook site, I really wanted to get her and hubby tickets so took a punt. All good to start off with, this guy ‘Danny Ryan’ offered 2 tickets at face value, i paid for them, then it became obvious that it was a scam (He is an admin on this Facebook site).

After paying, i was then told i needed to pay another £50 for ‘QR code’ authentication and a further fee for ‘ticket assigning fees’, i was sent a fake pic of the ‘pending’ tickets as though they were on the City ticket office page.

I asked for my money back, they refused then blocked me from the facebook group, i’ve since reported it to the bank fraud teams and the police, i also got a friend to post on this site to warn others that they are scammers, immediately blocked and post removed.

I would really appreciate it if as many blues as possible could join and post warnings that these people are scammers, the whole site is a fraud, apparently they have 4000+ members but when you check they are all foreign names.

If you cant post warnings, that's fine, but be aware of them.

PS. I got tickets in the end through the club anyway, should have been more patient and stopped stressing.
PPS. Yes i know i’m a gormless impatient whopper.

You say ‘Danny Ryan’ in the post, but the pic is for ‘Ryan Willis’ - who only became a member on the 17th? How long has the group existed? Or is too late to know (unless someone else joins)?

He has multiple profiles mate, Danny Ryan Willis is the same person, even the same pic.
I think the groups been around for a few months. I cant check much more, they blocked me.

Aye pal, i found out after he was scamming with loads of facebook groups, but he’s running the groups himself.

Although nothing is ever 100% safe it'd be much easier to source a couple off here from an established member rather than fuck around with random FB groups.
